The vessel Expedition 2 was completely  rebuild in 2000 to be able to accommodate up to six divers and crew on multiple day expeditions. The layout and interior is kept simple and functional to offer the most possible space for divers and crew and can be accessed wet to keep divers sheltered between locations without changing. In the summer of 2003 both engines were replaced and a generator and portable air-compressor added to the equipment. These changes gave the boat a higher cruising speed, greater range and independence from shore supply.

-Key West # 1 hull, 45 feet in length, 16 feet beam, 

 3  foot draft

 

-Twin diesel engines, diesel generator, 

  air-compressor (optional)

 

-Accommodations for up to six divers and two crew, 

  fully air conditioned

 

-Easily accessible dive platform with dive ladder  

 and walk through transom door

 

-Full electronics suite with back-up (VHF, Radar,  

 GPS-chartplotter, color depth sounder, autopilot)

 

-Safety equipment meeting and exceeding 

 US-Coast-Guard standards

 

-Boat davit on fore deck with lift capacity of 1000 lb

 

-Storage capacity for up to 26 SCUBA tanks
